Ask a team administrator to turn on the MCP integration permission for your role.
Connecting an AI client is done per user, but whether you can use a given team’s data over MCP is decided by the permission set for your role on that team.
●By default only administrators can use team data
By default, only administrators can use a team’s data over MCP.
●An administrator can change the permission for the “Member” and “Guest” roles
Open “Security & Permissions” in your team settings and use the switches on the “MCP integration” row of the “Permissions” table.
Turning “Member” or “Guest” on lets people in that role use that team’s data over MCP.
The setting is saved as soon as you change it.
Even with an AI client connected, you cannot use the data of a team that has not granted the permission.
See Set the permission to use team data over MCP by role for the steps.
●The permission is set per team
Connecting an AI client is per user, but the permission to use a team’s data over MCP is set per team.
If you belong to several teams, you can only use the data of the teams that allow it.
